Sophomore Andy Warshaw Saturday became the first Harvard rifleman ever to place in the National Intercollegiate Individual Championships.

In scoring 287 out of a possible 300 points, Warshaw led all Harvard entries and placed third in New England. His performance apparently assures him a ranking among the top 25 college marksmen in the nation.

In the team championships, held later the same day, the Crimson finished with a score of 1369 points, well behind M.I.T.'s winning total of 1417. Ronnie Grim's 28 was the best individual Crimson score in the team match.
