Fencers Win, 22-5

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity fencing "B" squad took its second straight match last night as it easily overpowered a shallow B.U. team, 22 to 5.

The power of Coach-Edo Marion's team, two-deep this year for the first time, showed most strongly in sabre, where Mike Woolf, Peng-Sui Mei, and Don Tingle led the division to a clean sweep. Dave Silbert and Doug Runnels each took one bout.

In epee, traditionally weak, Andre Nikitine, Bruce Parker and Dave Schwartz led to a solid 8 to 1 margin.

Marion experimented somewhat in foil, where his team managed to squeeze out a bare 5 to 4 decision. Manuel Cabral won two of three, and looked very good, while the rest of the squad indicated some lack of experience.
