'Peon 'Fool' Pleads Innocent On Charges of Santa Assault

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The case of the Lampoon "fool" who tried to hold up Santa Claus was continued in East Cambridge District Court until next Thursday.

Maurice C. Thompson '60 was arraigned before Judge Harry Lack yesterday on charges of assault and battery and disturbing the peace. He submitted a plea of not guilty.

The officer who made the arrest claimed that Thompson knocked down one passerby and broke another's glasses when he grabbed a money basket from Santa Claus, portrayed by another 'Poon candidate, during a Fool's Week stunt on Wednesday.
