The annual Harvard-Radcliffe Conference on Careers in Education will open today. Francis Keppel '38, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Frank B. Freidel Jr., professor of History, and Judson T. Shaplin '42, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education, will deliver the main speeches.
Plans for the conference include group meetings for alumni, faculty members, and senior students. The groups will discuss the influence of teachers, professional education of future teachers and psychological personnel in colleges and schools. Future problems for teachers in elementary schools and supervision in educational organizations form the final topic of discussion.
