McVey Suffers Wrist Break, May Not Play Until January

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Crimson hockey star Bob McVey may be lost "until after Christmas vacation" with a fractured wrist, coach Cooney Weiland noted yesterday.

McVey suffered the freak accident in Friday's practice, and didn't notice the break until after the practice had ended. "Needless to say, his loss is quite a blow to the team," coach Weiland stated.

Last year, McVey, second-highest team scorer and center on the second line, was named to the All-Ivy hockey squad and was the only native American on the second All-American team at Colorado.
