STUDENT FINED $1,000

John F. Correa III '58, of Wellesley Hills, was fined $1,000 and given a suspended jail sentence of one year today on charges arising from an accident which took the life of Robert Mason '58, also of Wellesley Hills, on the West Boston Bridge, Sept. 17.

Correa was fined for drunken driving and received the suspended sentence for reckless driving. His car was going about 40 miles an hour, according to police officials.
