Several University organizations elected full or partial slates of officers recently.
The resignation of Alfred Friendly, Jr. '59, as vice-President of the Harvard Young Democratic Club led to new elections. Derek Winans '60 was chosen to replace Friendly, who in turn was elected Treasurer. Jay Leary '60, will fill the office of Secretary left Vacant by Winans. Fred Leventhal '60, will serve as Activities Chairman.
The Harvard Islamic Society has also elected officers for the current academic year.
Hossein Nasr 4G, of Iran, will act as President of the Society, and Yusuf Ibish 2G, of Syria, will be Secretary. Elected as Treasurer and assistant Secretary respectively were Abdul Haye Shahban 4G, of Egypt, and Bakhtiyar Ali Khan '59, of Pakistan.
Because of the resignation of Allerton J. Cushman, Jr. '58, the Harvard Dramatic Club has elected a new President. Chosen to fill the post was David Green '58.
