NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Varsity track captain Art Siler ended his athletic career with the Crimson on Saturday with a one-man point-getting spree at the IC4A track and field championship at Randall's Island.

Siler won the discuss throw and placed fifth in the shot put to give Harvard six points and a 12th place ranking out of 26 colleges.

No other Crimson contestant reached the finals. Norman Buck qualified for the semi-finals in the 100-yard dash, but went no further.

Siler won the discus by a toss of 160 feet, 5 1/2 inches. In the shot put Siler pushed the ball 48 feet, 2 2/3 inches, eight feet short of Bantum's winning effort.
