The Varsity ski team edged Yale by a close 98.6-97.6 score Saturday in the annual Big Three meet to win back the Bob Goodman trophy from the Elis.
The leading Varsity skiers were Tim Thacher, in second place with a time of 103 seconds; Jim Graves, fourth, 103.9; Charlie Thomas, fifth, 106.2; Charlie Beveridge, sixth, 106.3; and Pete Churchill, eight, 106.7.
The best time of the afternoon was made in the freshman meet by Yardling captain Don Stephenson as he traveled the slalom twice in 88.4 seconds. In spite of his time, Yale defeated the freshmen, 93 to 84.
