Dunster House became the first Inter-House Debate champion by virtue of its undefeated record in four preliminary rounds of a round-robin tournament on Friday. The tourney climaxed the Inter-House Debate Council's first season of activity at the college.
Adams and Winthrop House tied for second place in the regular competition and were forced to play a special play-off. Adams won this debate and was awarded second place, third going to Winthrop.
Behind Winthrop, the Houses placed in this order. Dudley and Kirkland with 2 and 2 records, tied for fourth place; Leverett and Lowell both won 1 and lost 3 to finish in a tie for sixth position; while Eliot lost all four of its debates to end in last place.
