Ralph B. Perry '96, professor of Philosophy Emeritus, criticized John Foster Dulles' "boastfulness" over the Soviet government's supposed recent change toward liberalism and tolerance in a New York Times letter yesterday.
He called Dulles' attitude an illustration of "American diplomacy at its worst." To gloat when an opponent follows the policy we like, Perry wrote, is not only bad manners, but detrimental to our foreign relations.
