The Northeastern freshman hockey team jumped to an early 3-0 lead over the junior varsity sextet at the Watson Rink last night and went on to win, 10 to 5. It was the jayvees' first loss in two starts.
The three first-period Husky goals came within six minutes of each other midway through the opening period. Sophomore center Dave Beadie scored for the Crimson at 6:15 of the second stanza, but Northeastern got the tally back a minute later.
The three last-period goals by the junior varsity were scored by Denny French, Tim Clark, and Tom Crowley. The jayvees play the Lincoln Mohawks tonight at 7 p.m. at Watson.
