Fines collected by the University police for car registration and parking infractions now total approximately $2,500, Charles G. Pyne, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President, revealed yesterday.
A large percentage of this money will be credited to the student loan fund, a smaller part to various graduate schools, and about $450 to the University police.
The University Police Force will use its share for improving parking facilities and driveways, Pyne said. Through fines collected last year the Police Department was able to make room for over 125 more cars on the Business School parking lot.
