Weary students still recuperating from the rigors of the Princeton weekend waited in vain yesterday for the welcome tolling of the Memorial Church bell which usually marks the end of classes.
The bell cable had parted, but Cecil A. Roberts, Superintendent of the Department of Buildings and Grounds, reported that this last vestige of Official Harvard Time (now that the Memorial Hall clock is gone) will resume operations today.
