Winthrop House slipped into first place in the inter-House soccer circuit yesterday afternoon as a determined Dunster team defeated the previously leading Lowell in overtime play 1 to 0.
With the Lowell defeat, Winthrop took a one-half game lead in the intramural league. Until a decision is handed down on a protested game between Kirkland and Dunster last week, the Funsters' rating is not definite.
The game's only point came in the first half of the ten minute overtime period, when Frank Loewald, Dunster's inner left, drove in to score on a pass from Averell Carter, center forward.
Dunster goalie Don Shapiro made a brilliant save on a Lowell House penalty kick in the second 25 minute half. With no goals completed during regular play, the defense by both teams was outstanding.
