President Pusey will climax his first official visit to the West Coast tonight with an address before the combined Harvard Clubs of Southern California. The event, which marks the first visit of a University President to the Coast in nine years, is scheduled to attract 1000 alumni, family and friends to the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
Pusey's talk will include a report on recent developments at the University and an exposition of his own philosophy of education.
The President's visit, which includes a reception and dinner, is considered the most important Harvard event in Los Angeles in many years. It is being sponsored jointly by the Harvard Club of Southern California, and the Business, Law and Medical Schools' Alumni Associations.
