Matthews N., Mower Win League Crowns

Matthews North and Mower clinched their league basketball titles last night.

Matthews won the National League by defeated Thayer Sough, 51 and 19, and maintained its undefeated season. Holworthy and Wigglesworth placed second and third.

Mower topped the American league by crushing Straus North, 39 to 7, while third place Grays upset second place Weld South, 48 to 31, to gain a tie for the runner-up slot.

The interleague play off will take place Thursday afternoon.
