Despite losing the Eastern team title to Yale earlier this week, the varsity golf team will be slightly favored when it meets Yale in a return engagement at the Charles River Country Club at 2 p.m.
Captain Ted Cooney will be seeking revenge against Yales' Jerry Fehr, who defeated him two up in the semi-finals of the easterns on Monday to give Yale the team victory and who also won 65 to 68 last year when the pair met. Fehr won his second straight Eastern Intercollegiate Championship Monday.
Playing behind Cooney will be Brock Stokes, Bob Ornsteen, Bruce Thurmond, Jim Jones, Roger Fleischmann, and Jim Bailey in that order. The seven-man team is one larger than the team which tied Yale only to lose in the playoff between Cooney and Fehr.
