Chris Angermeyer broke the freshman javelin record as the Yardling track team defeated Andover, 70 to 56, Saturday.

Angermeyer broke the old record of 181 ft., 17 in., set in 1933, by hurling the javelin 182 ft., 10 3/4 in.

Pete Reider, Bill Bronson, and French Anderson swept the distance events for the Crimson, taking the mile, half mile, and quarter mile, respectively.
