Harvard College applicants to the Medical School stand a much better chance of admission than those from other colleges, Kendall Emerson, Jr., Assistant Dean of the Medical School, said last night. Approximately one out of five Harvard applicants is admitted, compared to one of 12 from the rest of the nation.
In addition, Emerson emphasized that "science courses beyond the premed requirements will neither help nor hinder a student's chances of admission to medical school."
