Winthrop House held onto first place in the House Football League race when it blanked an undermanned Lowell squad, 19-0, yesterday for its third straight victory. Junior Ed Fogarty scored two of Winthrop's three touchdowns.

The Dunster eleven, defending champions and rated by rivals as "the team to beat," downed a strong Leverett team, 12-0, as senior halfback Steve West went over for both scores. The Funsters remain in second place with a 2-0 record.

Lowell House copped its second intramural soccer victory without a loss by defeating Dudley, 1-0, as Eliot edged out Leverett by the same score. In touch football, Leverett outfought Dunster by 18-12, while Winthrop trounced Lowell, 54-0.

The results of yesterday's action in the freshman touch football leagues are: in the American League; Grays 25, Thayer North 0; Matthews South 7, Mower 0; Lionel 1, Thayer Middle 0; in the National League: Wigglesworth East 7, Matthews North 6; Holworthy 16, Straus South 12; Hollis 1, Massachusetts 0.
