Kiosk Near College May Be Destroyed

A bill to raze the M.T.A. kiosk in the Square has been filed in the state legislature by Senator Francis X. McCann.

"The traffic situation in the Square is extremely bad," said McCann. "During rush hours buses pile up at the kiosk and create a serious problem. If it were eliminated, the traffic problems would be greatly eased."

Under the new plan buses would exchange passengers at the sidewalks, and subway entrances would be transferred to the walks bordering Massachusetts Ave. "The kiosk might then be turned into a grass plot," suggested McCann.
