After losing to Yale, 7 to 0 yesterday at New Haven, the varsity golf squad will wind up its season this weekend with the New England Intercollegiate Championships which start today at the Oakley Country Club. The freshman golf team also closes its season with a final match today, against the Yale Pups at New Haven.
Coach Josh Williams is uncertain who the sixth man in today's team championship play-offs will be. Ted Cooney, Bruce. Thurmond, Bill McAllister, Tom Jones, and Captain Jack Brophy will definitely start for the varsity, with either Doug Boyd or Kent Brown playing number six. The only man graduating this year is Brophy, who will play his last varsity match today.
In the Yale match, number one man Ted Cooney shot a 68, but lost two and one to Jerry Fehr, who posted a 66.
