Edward K. McCagg of Straus and Katonah, N.Y., has been elected captain of the freshman crew for 1954. McCagg, six foot five, and 180 pounds, rowed three years at Pomfret School in three and four position. He rows six in the Yardling first boat.
McCagg's older brother, Louis McCagg '52 was one of the varsity's finest oarsmen in recent years. He stroked the first boat for three years, and was captain of the 1952 crew. After graduating he went to Cambridge, where he rowed in the first boat and took part in the annual Oxford-Cambridge regatta in 1953. The elder McCagg rowed at Middlesex School before attending the College.
