Coach Bob Pickett's Yardling lacrosse team held Deerfield scoreless for one half yesterday and then succumbed to inexperience and a lack of practice. The final score was 5 to 2 in favor of Deerfield.
The Crimson's two goals, both of which came in the second half, were scored by attacker Ed Ansin and midfielder Mike Holmes. Mike Durham, also playing at midfield, contributed an assist to Holmes' score.
The Yardling next meet Tabor Academy here Saturday at 3 p.m.
