Yale's Davenport College beat a previously once-beaten Dudley House hockey team, 8 to 2, yesterday in the annual Harvard-Yale intramural championship final. The Elis boasted a well paced offensive, taking 2-0 and 5-1 leads at the end of the first and second periods respectively.
John Leary led the Dragon attack, scoring both goals for his team. For Davenport, wings Andy Meyer and Furguss Reid scored two goals apiece.
Dudley, House League champion, had gone through the regular season with a 12 won, one lost, one tied record.
