The College may boast a polo team by next fall, Louis Lefevre, a member of the previous polo group, announced yesterday.
The club would probably use the College's Polo Field in Bedford, since members of the Athletic Department seemed agreeable to the proposal, he said.
The club still has a small amount of money left from previous endeavors, but will need at least a couple of thousand dollars to get started. Lefvre said that either the alumni association, a private group, or the National Polo Association might afford additional help.
Only about 20 boys are needed to get a new team underway, and Lefvre expects that there will be no trouble in getting that number.
A previous attempt at forming a team ended in a "lack of money, time, and interest," according to Robert L. Ransom, organizer of last year's group.
