Benjamin H. Heckscher of Bevon, Pa., and Wigglesworth Hall, has been elected captain of the freshman squash team.
Called by Coach Corey Wynn "a sure bet" to win the national championship before he graduates, Heckscher has been undefeated in intercollegiate play this year, and brings with him a record from prep school which parallels that of the great Charlie Ufford.
Ufford, winner of two intercollegiate championships in 1952 and 1953, was New England interscholastic champion at Deerfield and was elected freshman captain in 1949. Hockscher has impressed Wynn so strongly that he believes Heckschor may be the Crimson's first or second man within the next year.
He has already beaten everyone on the varsity with the exception of Larry Brownell. At Choate School he was national champion and was undefeated in prep school play for three seasons.
