Stearns Extends Nomination Deadline of Jubilee Election

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The deadline for petitions for the Freshman Jubilee election has been extended until tonight, Peter N. Stearns '57, chairman of the election committee, announced yesterday.

Nineteen nominations have already been received for the election, which is scheduled to be held on Feb. 18. The tentative date for the Jubilee weekend has been set for May 7 and 8.

Last spring, Housemasters voted against future plans to stage the Friday evening informal dance atone of the upperclass Houses. As a result of this, J. Vernon Patrick '52, Secretary of the Union, mentioned yesterday possibilities of replacing the informal dance with a moonlight ride on a Boston Bay cruiser.

The Saturday night formal dance is expected to be held as usual in the Union.
