The freshman A football team will be minus its triple-threat tailback Walter Stahura this afternoon when the Yardlings meet Dartmouth in the season's opener at 2 p.m. on Soldiers Field.

John Hennessy is slated to replace the injured Stahura in a game between two relatively inexperienced teams. In last year's match the squads battled to a 13-12 tie.

Filling out the Crimson's backfield will be fullback Tom Fritz, with Tom Zierk, a former schoolboy track star, at wingback. The quarterback position will alternate between Cliff Erickson and Ashton Hallett.

The freshman line, which has looked fairly strong in past scrimmages with the varsity alternates, will be centered around Bob-Harris, Charlie Eaton, and Dave Schein.

Reduced to a four game schedule this year, the Yardlings will face only Dartmouth, Brown and Yale here.
