The Yardling soccer team defeated the M.I.T. freshmen yesterday 7-0 for its second win this fall. Although a fairly strong team, bolstered by eight soccerwise South Americans, the Engineers could not withstand the well balanced Crimson.
Karin Kahn, Coach Guyda's left wing, opened the scoring in the first period. Right wing Ken McIntosh, who kicks equally well with either foot, scored three goals, and Shad Tubman, R. H. Beilenson, and R. Magowan each added one.
The fullbacks and halfbacks, Guyda felt, were particularly instrumental in the victory, although they did not score. Their aggressive defensive play gave the Yardling team its second shutout in as many games.
