Yardling Climbers Fail In Memorial Peak Try

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Under the influence of scenes from "Annapurna," a movie about mountain climbers, four freshmen last Saturday managed to climb almost to the clock on top of Memorial Hall before policemen discovered them.

Approaching the Hall from the north side, they began their climb first by vines, then by fire escapes, and finally by treacherous hand-and-foot climbing.

"The heights didn't bother us," said one of the freshmen. "We're used to mountain climbing. We wore all the proper clothing and everything, so there was no danger. The cops finally stopped us before we could actually reach Memorial's peak, as we were resting in the colonnades just below the clock."
