Twas the week of probation, and all through the House

Not a "Deke" man was stirring, not even a souse.

The proctors were placed by the chimney with care,

For fear that a female might be snuck in through there.

And even societies all were restricted

From whatever it is to which they are addicted,

So with crepe on his sleeve and no girl on his lap,

The Bulldog settled down for a long winter's nap.
