Classes at the University will continue as usual during the state-wide air raid test this Thursday, the Civil Defense Advisory Committee disclosed yesterday. The public has been asked to participate.

All pedestrians will be ordered off the streets when the first alert sounds at 9:15. The all-clear will sound at 9:45.

At 9:15 a "yellow alert" will sound, calling Civil Defense personnel to their positions. Twenty minutes later the "red alert," a series of short siren blasts for a period of three minutes, will sound the first signal calling for public response.

At 9:45 the "white alert," three one minute blasts sounded at two minute intervals, will announce the all-clear. At this time the public may resume its usual activities.

Students in class at the time of the test will remain in class. Classes will continue as usual. Students not in class at alert time will follow the same procedure as outlined for the public.
