A pilgrimage to Concord and local displays today will mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Led by the American Unitarian Association, the pilgrimage will wend its way to the First Parish Church in Concord, where, at 4 p.m., Howard Mumford Jones, professor of English, will deliver the Ware Lecture. It will be rebroadcast at 8:30 tonight by WGBH-FM.

Extensive commemorative displays will be shown at Houghton Library and the Divinity School.
