University Gets Fund For New Scholarships

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University has received a new $100,000 scholarship fund to provide aid for students in the College, Medical and Law Schools, it was announced yesterday.

The fund was established by Mrs. Etta Dana, widow of the late Myer Dana, ex-director of several Boston Jewish organizations.

Mrs. Dana expressed a "particular desire that the current and now traditional and liberal policies of the University be followed and that these awards be made without regard to race, color or creed."

Dana was prominent in real estate in Boston, and he was president of the Beth Israel Hospital from 1918 to 1920.
