Articles Missing From Cliffe Dorm

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Rooms of the residents of Radcliffe's Eliot Hall were searched yesterday in an attempt to discover the whereabouts of clothing -- mostly undergarments -- and personal belongings that have been reported missing in the past few days.

Close to 15 girls have reported losses to Eliot Hall President Phyllis La Farge '55. Miss LaFarge yesterday brought the matter up before Dean of Residents Mary S. Moser '41 who authorized the search.

Miss LaFarge emphasized that the money value involved was not "very large" and said that many of the missing articles were undoubtedly "just borrowed and will be returned soon." None of the missing articles, however, was found in any of the dormitory rooms.

The police have not been notified of the missing articles and are not expected to be called into the investigations, according to Radcliffe authorities.

The search of the rooms was conducted by members of the House committee under regulations of Radcliffe College which specifically say that when things are missing, a search may be conducted.
