Electioneering for a Harvard president reached a new high yesterday in the Yard.

About 10 a.m., an agile freshmen perched himself in a tree outside Sever Hall, proclaiming via a large sign that "I won't come down until John Finley is president of Harvard."

Although Finley, Master of Eliot House, has been prominently mentioned among candidates for the University presidency, the birds, the flowers, and the hoots of passers-by must have discouraged the Yardling, for he climbed down, unnoticed, between 10 and 11.
