Blood Drive Brings Total to 1312 Pints

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Blood contributions to the spring PBH Blood Drive reached a new high yesterday with the 411 pints given at Memorial Hall. The new total is 1,312 pints.

This would have been higher but for more than 200 "no-shows" who failed to keep appointments. "Our goal may not be reached if so many continue to miss the times they are scheduled to give blood," complained Allen I. W. Frank, co-chairman of the drive.

Frank said that "no-shows" had been running at about 200 per day. But he stressed that the drive continued today and tomorrow, and would be open for anyone still wishing to give, regardless of whether he had an appointment.

If the number of contributors picks up, Frank expected that the drive would set a new record.
