Early results of a poll here on the problems of school-college adjustment confirm predictions that the study will reveal important information, Professor Samuel A. Stouffer said yesterday.

Stouffer, director of the Laboratory of Social Relations, said that sophomores and seniors have so far shown "gratifying response" to the laboratory's survey.

He stressed that 100 percent return must be achieved by spring vacation if the study is to achieve anything like a representative sampling.

Questionnaires were sent to one out of every five members of the two classes at Harvard and Radcliffe. The survey had received strong support from the administrations of both schools.
