As soon as the varsity a squad is cut to 20, the remaining 47 will become the JV team and begin practicing for their first game against Quonset Naval Base on April 17.
The JV's varied 13-game schedule includes games with Quonset Naval Base, which the Yale varsity includes on its schedule, but on the other hand, Huntington Academy, favorite whipping boy of the local prep schools.
Varsity and JV ball players will abandon Briggs Cage as soon as the weather improves, Coach McInnis noted.
