Gerald James Holten, assistant professor of Physics and General Education, will become an associate professor, effective July 1, 1954, Provost Buck announced yesterday.
Holton will continue to teach in both the General Education and the Physics departments, and to continue his research in ultrasonic propagation and high pressure physics.
Holton has attended schools in Vienna, Austria, and England. He received his Ph.D. here in 1943. Before coming here he taught at Brown.
