The Business School rolled to a 75 to 61 win over the Law School last night at the IAB, behind the sharp foul shooting of Ed Leede and Al Stein.
Leede, former Dartmouth captain and coach of the Business School five, paced the commercial interests with 19 points, scoring 14 in the second half.
The B-School was never behind. Though its first quarter lead of 13 points dwindled to ten at the end of the first half, and seven by the end of the third quarter, it connected for 23 markers in the last frame to win by 14 points.
Scoring honors for the evening went to John Horny of the Law School, who sank nine field throws and two fold shots for a game total of 20 points.
Fast-breaking lawyer Al Stein, former Columbia captain, tied with Don Hayes, ex-low a State star, for 16 points, three below Leede's total.
The lawyers were hit for only 19 penalties, while the businessmen got 25. Yet they connected for only half the number of foul shots as the men from across the river.
Yesterday's win by the Business School is the first time in three years they have downed the traditionally strong Law School.
