Yardling Fencers Lose 17-10 In Season's Opening Match

Bradford Durfee Technical Institute of Fall River, Mass., defeated the freshman fencers, 17 to 10, at the Block-house Wednesday night. The match was the Crimson's first of the season.

Standout performers for the '56 team were Steve Schneider and John Livingston. Each won three bouts, Schneider in the foil and Livingston in the epee. Other Yardling winners included Tony Provenzano and Cliff Thompson in the foil, Bill Kaden in the saber, and Bill Pierskalla in the epee. They each salvaged one of their three matches.
