Police Nab Speeders At Intersection Here

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two clever Cambridge cops spent yesterday catching motorists with their accelerators down.

Stationed at the corner of Quincy St. and Massachusetts Ave., the policemen gave tickets to all drivers who failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection's stop sign.

By about 5 p.m. it appeared that word of the change had gotten around, for the number of tickets the policemen gave dropped considerably from the ten per hour record they achieved during the morning hours.

Fines for failing to stop at a stop sign vary from $1 to $5 depending on the judge's decision.
