Undefeated Crimson Track Squad Meets Dartmouth Team Today

Out of the damp and gloomy confines of Briggs Cage, the undefeated varsity track team moves into Hanover today, bolstered by the return of Bob Twitchell and favored over Dartmouth.

The meet could be close. At any rate, the opposition will probably break 30 points for the first time this year, and the events themselves will prove to be more than the glorified time trials of the last month.

Bob Rittenburg, who has been favoring a bad hool since the B.A.A. meet, will run in the hurdles, besides running in the mile relay. Twitchell, back from a try at cross country skiing, will run in the hurdles and sprints, and should score heavily.

Dartmouth appears strong in the distance runs, where star miler Mike Morrissey should be good for at least one first. The absence of Crimson pole vaulter Bob Mello may enable the Green to sweep that event.

Morrissey and Rennie Little of the varsity will probably put on the best race of the day in the 1000. Another close race is the 600, where Crimson sophomore Al Howe is a very slight favorite.

Bob Curran in the weight and Gil Murray in the shot should have little trouble winning for the Crimson, but the broad jump finds the Green's Dick Harlor, a 23-foot jumper, a heavy favorite.

Hal Gerry should be able to stay with a tried Morrissey in the two mile, and the Crimson is a heavy favorite in both the two mile relay and the one mile relay.
