The South rose again in the Yard Saturday afternoon as over 100 freshman rebels captured the front steps of University Hall and held John Harvard captive for 15 minutes.
Only casualties in the brief encounter were 30 freshmen, who lost their bursar's cards. One hardy yard Cop dispersed the courageous Confederates, but a few decorated John with a Confederate flag before retreating.
University Police attributed the "disturbance" to a water fight between some high school girls and the inhabitants of Hollis Hall. The appearance of the minions of law and order caused the general uprising which followed.
