Donlan Ducks H.C.; Back Converts to B.C.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Quarterback William J. Donlan, Jr. '57, who ten days ago switched from Harvard to Holy Cross has jumped the Worcester school for Boston College.

Donlan, who lives in Brighton and attended B.C. High, gave his reason for changing as a desire to be near his ill mother.

He says he will not receive any financial aid at Boston College.

Donlan, who was an all-scholastic player quarterback at B.C. High, received offers from over seven colleges, including Notre Dame, B.C., and Holy Cross. He entered Harvard, but withdrew, although slated to start the opening freshman football game, because he was having trouble studying. It was also believed that outside pressure had been applied.
