The freshman "B" football team beat Thayer Academy, 12 to 0, Saturday afternoon at Braintree. The Yardlings' win broke a Thayer winning streak of 13 games.
Early in the first period the Yardling jayvees turned a pass interception into a quick score. Leo Daly made the first Crimson touchdown, plunging over from the four yard line.
The game was even until the fourth quarter, when the freshmen scored on a long run by Bill Allen. Allen broke through right tackle and scampered 55 yards to the Thayer goal line.
A Thayer class day crowd of 1,000 saw the Crimson victory.
The freshmen "B's" play Mt. Hermon School this Saturday at Mt. Hermon.
