Attendant Charley Dale to Retire After Long Service at Hemenway

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After handing out at least 66,000 towels to Crimson basketball, volleyball, and squash players over the past 22 years. Hemenway attendant Charley Dale is ready to call it quits.

Dale has been at Hemenway since the gym was renovated, and has been a University employee even longer. Although it may seem like a long time, Charley exclaimed: "I've enjoyed every minute of it."

He says that he is "getting old" however, and as a result, he is reluctantly retiring. His plans for the future, he says, are at present uncertain, though he expects to "enjoy a little rest, too."

The little man has presented keys and towels to innumerable Crimson squash greats, from Coach Barnaby on down to present-day champion Charlie Ufford.
